Joint mobilization is a skilled manual therapy technique aimed at improving the joint range of motion and reducing pain.
In order to incorporate joint mobilization, the therapist manually applies targeted pressures or forces on a joint in specific directions to help improve the mobility of that joint. It can be performed at different levels of intensity and is usually pain-free.
Joint mobilization can improve range of motion, reduce pain, and improve joint mechanics to help with things such as lifting legs, bending the spine, or walking.

A typical manual therapy session lasts about 20–30 minutes, depending on your pet’s condition, tolerance, and treatment goals. Each session is customized to keep your pet comfortable while achieving the best results.
For most pets, manual therapy is recommended 1–2 times per week initially, especially after surgery or when managing chronic pain. As your pet improves, the frequency may be reduced to bi-weekly or monthly maintenance sessions to support long-term mobility and comfort.
